Winifred Alice (Ferguson) Edevane

     Mrs. Edevane, 95, of Altoona, died Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the home of her son Russell, with whom she lived for 27 years.   She was born August 13,1927, in Bedford, a daughter of the late Duncan and Edith E. (Myers) Ferguson.  On March 4, 1950, in Altoona, she married Willis A. Edevane who died January 6, 2003.  Surviving are four sons: Willis R. (Sandra) of Hollidaysburg, Russell S. (Patty) and Paul A. (Shari), both of Altoona and Gregory A. of Glenmoore.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.  She was the last of her generation being preceded in death by six sisters Frances McMinn, Marguerite Cogan, Elizabeth Maines, Annie Stahl, Alma Decker and Edith Wysong and ten brothers James, Robert, George, William, Thomas, Duncan, Clair, Raymond, Henry and Amos.

      Known as Winnie she loved reading the Bible, shopping and the Ocean City beaches.  More than anything….her life was her family.

     She was a member of New Life Worship Center, Altoona, where funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 with Pastor Wayne Schaffer officiating.  Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Altoona. Family and friends will be received at the church Monday from 10:00 am until the hour of services.  McQuown Funeral Home. Glasgow, PA. is in charge of arrangements.
