Mr. Hanna, 94, Allemans, died Friday, August 4, 2006 at his residence. Born January 27, 1912 in Bellwood a son of the late William H. and Irene (Cree) Hanna. On June 1, 1935, in Ramey, he married Geraldine E. Glasgow who died November 10, 1987. Surviving are 3 children: Cynthia A. (George) Pifer and Ronald E. Hanna, both of Allemans and Frances C. Laird, of Mountaindale, 7 grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren and 1 sister Martha M. Close of Allemans. Also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Howard and Clyde and 1 sister Margaret Steele. A 1930 graduate of Reade Twp HS, he retired in 1976 as a machinist from Conrail, Altoona. He was a member of the Mountaindale Baptist Church and attended the Allemans United Methodist Church. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists, the AARP, the NRA, the Susquehanna Antique Machinery Association. He was also a self trained knife maker. Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 pm and Monday 10:00 am at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am with Rev. Dennis McCracken and Rev. Ben Warfel officiating. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Allemans.
