Wayne Curtis Shope, Sr.

Mr. Shope, 73, Glasgow, died Friday, May 21, 2021 at UPMC-Shadyside, Pittsburgh.  He was born October 7, 1947, in Flinton, a son of the late Irvin L. and Mary K. (Wagner) Shope.  On September 17, 1967 in Hollentown he married Mary Lee McClellan who died April 19, 2019.  Surviving are three children Kasandra L. “Kandie” Black and Wayne C. “Buddy” Shope, Jr., both of Glasgow and Allyson A. (Scott) Flick of Irvona, four grandchildren Olivia Anderson, Scott Flick, II, Samantha Young and Joshua Flick and two great-granddaughters Audrey Young and Waverly Anderson.  He was also preceded in death by a brother Gary Shope.

     Wayne was a 1965 graduate of BCI High School.  He was a retired Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era, retiring as a Staff Sargeant.

     There will be no viewing.  In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations payable to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
