Mr. Sacolic, 88, a resident of Hillview Chateau, Altoona and formerly of Blandburg, died Wednesday afternoon, June 22, 2005 at the home. Born October 26, 1916 in Smoke Run a son of the late Andrew and Mary Sacolic. On August 13, 1938, in Blandburg, he married Mary M. Kovaloski who died December 20, 1986. Surviving are 2 sons Walter R. of Coalport and Kenneth R. of Blandburg, 10 grandchildren, numerous greatgrandchildren and a brother Raymond. Also preceded in death by a brother Andrew.
Mr. Sacolic retired in 1981 as a heavy equipment operator for C&K Coal Co., Blandburg. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #9622, Frugality.
He was a member of St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Frugality where Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10:00am with Fr. George Gulash officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow. Friends received at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, Friday 2-4 & 6-8 where a vigil service will be held in the afternoon.
