W. Eugene Reynolds

     Mr. Reynolds, 93, Mountaindale, Fallentimber, RD., died Saturday, May 6, 2017 at his residence.

     He was born February 22, 1924 in Blandburg, a son of the late Clair M. and Bethel V. (Bloom) Reynolds.  On June 17, 1950 in Winchester, VA. he married Roby M. Glasgow who died April 19, 2014.  Surviving are 4 children Clair E. (Betty Gates) of Galloway, OH., Peggy I. (Wayne) Eckenrode of Coalport, Raymond G. (Donna Edson) of Mountaindale and Iva M. (Dave) Garner of Bellwood.   Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a sister Irene Beck of Tyrone.  He was also preceded in death by a son Robert E. Reynolds.

     Gene was a 1943 graduate of Reade Twp. High School and was a member of the Coalport Lodge #574 F&AM.  He served in the Army Air Force as an Airman Cadet during World War II.  He was owner/operator of the Reynolds Motor Co., Glasgow until his retirement in 1994. 

     Friends will be received at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow on Tuesday May 9, 2017 from 5-8 pm and Wednesday from 1:00 pm till the 2:00 pm funeral services with Pastor Ben Warfel officiating.  Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Military honors will be conducted by the Richard L. Beers VFW Post #7043.
