Virginia E. "Chubby" Rickard

     Ms. Rickard, 67, Fallentimber, died Sunday July 8, 2007 at ARHS-BonSecours campus.  Lovingly known as Chubby, she was born June 25, 1940 in Fallentimber, a daughter of the late David F. and Dorothy V. (Black) Rickard.  Surviving are two children George T. of Bedford and Dorothy V. Trinkley of Fallentimber, 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 4 siblings John W. Rickard and Marie L. Holjencin both of Kersey, Mildred E. Peacock of Buffalo, NY and William M. Rickard of Blandburg and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Tiffany Trinkley, 2 brothers Odis Black and Martin Rickard and 2 sisters Alice Rickard and Edna Wonderling.
     She was a member of the Richland Bible Church.  She had been a cook at the former Alpine Hotel, Flinton and had worked at Price’s Poultry, Altoona.
     Friends received Tuesday  6-8 pm and Wednesday 10:00 am until the 11:00 services at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow with Pastor Bob Witherow officiating.  Burial will be in Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton.
