Veronica "Pearl" (Zayoc) McHugh

     Mrs. McHugh, 85,  a resident of Sonshine Country Manor, Fallentimber, and formerly of Blandburg, died Saturday, August 12, 2006, at Bon Secours Hospital, Altoona. Born January 16, 1921, in Irvona, a daughter of the late Albert and Catherine (Gaul) Zayoc.  On September 12, 1947, in Winchester, VA. She married Russell L. McHugh who died May 28, 1965  Surviving is a daughter Carol A. Jenkins of Edgewater, MD., granddaughters Denise (Jim) Lidwell and their son Brent, Ronda (Rusty) Whichard and their daughter Madison and Jill (J.L.) Higgs and their daughters Brooke and Abby.  Also surviving is a sister Catherine Finklestine of Altoona.  Also preceded in death by 4 sisters: Mary Sass, Anna Shuptar, Victoria Porto and Helen and 2 brothers: Michael and Frank.
     She retired from Proctor-Silex, Altoona and had worked at the Senior Activity Center, Blandburg.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and times spent with family.
     Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert Smith officiating.  Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
