Mrs. Hanna, 86, a resident at Epworth Manor, Tyrone and formerly of Allemans, died Wednesday July 25, 2007 at the Manor. She was born January 2, 1921, in Blandburg, a daughter of the late David A. and Elizabeth L. (Cree) Dixon. On January 1, 1940, in Bellwood, she married Ambrose S. Hanna who died December 18, 1994. Surviving are 3 children: B. Fay (James) Baughman of Osceola Mills, Charles C. (Ruth) Hanna of Warriors Mark and Debra A. (Philip) Curry of Allemans. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters Leona Lovell, Hazel Flegal and Edith and 2 brothers Roy and Kenneth.
She was a 1939 graduate of Reade Twp. High School and was a member of the Allemansville United Methodist Church. Along with her husband, she had owned and operated Hanna’s Grocery Store in Allemans for 20 years.
Friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Saturday noon until the 1:00 pm services at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow with Pastor Dennis McCracken officiating. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Allemans.
