Mrs. North, 76, Allemans, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 3, 2005 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born June 29, 1929 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Peter Wade and Keturah L. (Matthews) Reffner. Surviving are 5 children: Larry A., Utahville; Danny L., Towanda; Sharon L. McGraw, Janesville; Elise A. Uhring, Pleasant Gap; and Michelle L. Treece, Clarksburg; 15 grandchildren, 4 greatgrandchildren and 4 siblings: Calvin W., San Francisco, CA.; Carol Annabelle Frazer, Maryland; Shirley Souder, Telford; and Mary Marlin, Sharpsburg, NC. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Angel, a sister Audrey Connelly and a brother Everett.
Mrs. North retired as a seamstress at Campolong Slacks in Houtzdale. Her entire life was devoted to her Lord, children and all grandchildren. She attended Hollentown Assembly of God and the Allemansville United Methodist Church where services will be held Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor Thomas Jacobs officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Allemans. Friends will be received at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday and from 10:30 until the services Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Allemansville United Methodist Church.
