Thomas H. Eckroth

     Mr. Eckroth, 79, a resident of HAIDA Manor, Hastings and formerly of Dakota Ridge Road, Fallentimber, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at ARHS-Altoona Campus.  He was born July 14, 1929, in Wyoming, PA., a son of the late Thomas H. and Elizabeth (Rowland) Eckroth.  On March 15, 1969, in Jamestown, NY, he married Ruth A. Townsend who survives along with 6 children: Thomas H. of Wilkes-Barre, Linda L. Rosencrans of Dallas, PA.,  James Fedor of Dallas, TX., Dolores E. Bookler of St. Paul Park, MN., Edward R. of Andover, MA. And Andrew T. of Virginia Beach, VA.  Also surviving are numerous grand and greatgrandchildren and a brother Adrian C. of Atlantic City, NJ.  He was also preceded in death by one grandson, a brother William and three sisters: Diannah Umpherd, Dorothy Crich and Violet Tonkin.
     Friends will be received at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow Saturday from 2:00 pm till the hour of services at 4:00 pm.  Pastor Taylor Thomas will officiate.
