Mr. Lampenfeld, 73, Patton and formerly of Blandburg and Glasgow, died Monday, May 4, 2015 at his residence. Born February 27, 1942 in Pittsburgh a son of the late Max and Augusta (Prom) Lampenfeld. On March 14, 1964, in Winchester, VA. he married Roby M. Matthew who died May 25, 2006. Surviving is his companion Dorothy Gallaher of Patton, her children Richard Gallaher, LaDawn Yingling and Jonathan Gallaher, Dorothy’s 12 grandchildren, two daughters Bonnie J. of Houtzdale and Joann M. of Altoona, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers Max of Harrisburg and Raymond of Pittsburgh and two sisters Etta Albright of Cresson and Jane Chirdon of Ashville. He was also preceded in death by a sister Trudy Lechene and a brother Richard.
He was a former member of the Glendale and Reade Volunteer Fire Companies and had attended Roseland Christian Fellowship Church. He retired from Boyer Candy Co., Altoona.
Friends received Wednesday 4-8 pm at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. Ben Warfel officiating. Interment in Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton.
