Mrs. Ford-Hanna, 51, Mundy’s Corner, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She was born June 24, 1963, in Altoona, a daughter of the late Thomas L. and Mary E. (Potutschnig) Ford. On June 28, 1986 in Hollentown she married Ronald D. Hanna who survives along with two children Ashley N. (Ryan) Gary and Christopher T. Hanna both of Mundy’s Corner and three siblings Kenton L. (Susan Gallaher) and Melanie (Robert Wigfield) both of Flinton and Penny (Dennis Smeal) of Coalport. A sister Cathy preceded her in death. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She graduated in 1981 from Glendale High School, had been employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (DEP) and was a member of the Pike Grace Brethren Church, Mundy’s Corner being associated with the church Teen Ministry.
She was the best wife and mother anyone could ask for. She loved her kids with her whole heart. She loved the Lord unconditionally and put all her trust in Him. Her favorite phrase was “It’s all about grace.“ Throughout her three year battle with cancer her faith never waivered. She was always so selfless and concerned about everyone else.
The family would like to thank Asera Care Hospice for taking care of her at home and to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center-Pallitive Care Unit. We appreciate all you did for her.
She will certainly be missed by many but we look forward to seeing her again. In lieu of flowers the family suggests you contribute to Pike Grace Brethren Church Teen Ministry, 541 Pike Rd., Johnstown, PA. 15909.
Friends and family will be received 2-8 pm Monday at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow and 11am until the 1 pm hour of services Tuesday at the Pike Grace Brethren Church, Mundy’s Corner with Pastor Rudy Sheptock and Pastor Joseph Couch officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Allemans.
