Russell F. McElheny

     Russell F. “Fat Albert” McElheny, 64 Blandburg, died Monday, February 1, 2021 at his residence.  He was born September 8, 1956, in Spangler, a son of the late Arthur and Mildred (Krug) McElheny.  Surviving are two sons: Rory C. Fortney of Blandburg and Dustin C. McElheny of Altoona, six grandchildren and seven siblings: Janet Brown, Thomas, John, Ann Lovell and Gary, all of Blandburg, George of Coalport and Judy Elvey of Altoona.  Russ was preceded in death by his parents, a son Timothy McElheny and two brothers Donald and Kenneth. 

      He was a graduate of Glendale High School and enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles and mechanicing with his brothers.  Russ retired from Waste Management Company as a road mechanic.

     Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 3-6 pm at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.  In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions payable to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
