Mr. McClellan, 72, of Flinton, died Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Conemaugh-Miners’ Medical Center, Hastings. He was born November 12, 1947, in Glasgow, a son of the late William C. and Myrtle M. “Dot” (Kruis) McClellan. On June 28, 1969, in Glasgow, he married Eleanor K. Ricketts who survives along with a daughter Carrie L. (William) Lewis of Flinton, four grandchildren and two brothers C. Clyde McClellan of Irvona and Frederick J. McClellan of Altoona and a sister Cathy Beers of Janesville. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Roger “Butch” Kruis and Norman “Buzz” Noal.
Roy was a 1965 graduate of Reade Twp. High School. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as a Specialist 5th Class. He retired in 1992 as a mechanic from PPG Industries, Tipton.
There was a private viewing at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow on Thursday, October 8, 2023 followed by his burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow, with military honors conducted by members of the VFW.
