Rosella D. "Bettie" (Hopkins) Scott

     Mrs. Scott, 86, Blandburg, died December 27, 2012.  Know at Bettie she was born February 17, 1926 in Bellwood a daughter of the late James C. and Cora (Parks) Hopkins.  On January 6, 1946, in Cresson, she married Edward R. Scott, Jr. who died May 26, 2007.  Surviving is one son James Todd (Nancy Gates) Scott of Bellwood, 5 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren and two sisters Jean Conrad of Stafford, VA. and Charlotte Sheehan of Cresson.  She was also preceded in death by a son Edward Gary. and a brother James.
     She was a graduate of Cresson High School and had been a tax collector for Cambria County and Reade Twp. 25 years.  She was a member of the Blandburg United Methodist Church.
     Friends will be received at the McQuown Funeral Home Monday from 1 pm until the 2 pm funeral services with Pastor Tracy Plessinger officiating.  Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Blandburg United Methodist Church.
