Robert W. Hill

     Mr. Hill, 74, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Piedmont, AL., died Monday, August 27, 2012 at the home of his daughter Sandra K. Edevane with whom he lived..  He was born October 20, 1937, in Piedmont., a son of the late Oscar R. and Flora E. (Steppes) Hill.  He was married to Virginia Smith who preceded him in death along with a daughter Theresa White and a brother Ralph Hoskins.  He is survived by daughters Sandra K. Edevane of Hollidaysburg, Paula J. Allen of Piedmont and son Donald W. of Piedmont, 6 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren.  
     He retired as a truck driver from Anniston Army Depot and was a member of the Piedmont C.H. Church.
     Visitation and services will be conducted at and by the Thompson Funeral Home, Piedmont.  Interment will be in Nances Creek Cemetery, Jacksonville, AL.  Local arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
