Mrs. Porto, 96, a resident of Amber Terrace at Altoona Center for Nursing Care, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the center. Born May 18, 1914 in Clearfield a daughter of the late Philip and Ann (Loddo) Marra. On August 31, 1938, in Clearfield she married Henry Porto who died January 14, 1995. Surviving are 3 daughters: Maryann Penatzer of Bedford, Carol L. of Fort Republic, MD. And Barbara L. Bowman of Lexington Park, MD., 8 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren and a sister Lucy Marino of Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by a son Frank, 4 brothers James, Pete, Philip and Don and 2 sisters Katie Alleman and Ann Tilwalk.
She retired in 1978 as a Clerk from Kmart, Altoona
Friends will be received 6-8 pm Friday at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow. Mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 from St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Frugality with Fr. Sean Code officiating.
