Ms. Shomo, 68, Hollentown, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at her residence. She was born August 25, 1954, in Altoona, a daughter of Violet T. (Costello) Irwin and the late Eugene T. Irwin. Surviving is her mother Violet T. Mahoney of Lakeland, FL., three siblings John S. (Rose) Irwin of Largo, FL., Gregory A. Irwin of Virginia Beach, VA., and Cynthia L. Costello of Altoona. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and two nephews Michael and Jeffrey Franks.
Patty was a 1972 graduate of Glendale High School. She retired after 30 years employment as a Resident Counselor at Family Services of Blair County where she was known as Mo. She was a member of Rock of Freedom Fellowship, Coalport.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the McQuown Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Queen officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 pm and Saturday from10:00 am until the hour of services at the funeral home. A luncheon will be held following the services at Rock of Freedom Fellowship, Main Street, Coalport.
