Orville H. Ormsby, Jr.

     Mr. Ormsby, 72, Tyrone, died unexpectedly in the Tyrone Hospital emergency department from an apparent heart attack.  Born June 8, 1943 in Gary, IN., a son of the late Orville H. and Jean (Strang) Ormsby.  On May 23, 1981, in Coalport, he married Cynthia A. Rayhock who survives along with a daughter Cynda R. Ormsby-Johnson of Laguna Niguel, CA.  and a sister Sherry LaForge of Julian.

     Orville retired in 2007 as a chemist at the Tyrone Sewage Treatment Plant and had obtained several degrees in Chemistry at numerous universities.  He had attended Pleasant Valley Assembly of God, Altoona.

     A memorial service will be held Saturday January 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God, 1001 1st St., Altoona.  Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.  Burial was in Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton
