Mr. Lovell, 78, Allemans, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg where he had resided since January 2016. He was born February 13, 1939 in Glasgow a son of the late Eugene C. and Alverta M. (Morrow) Lovell. On August 1, 1959, in Bellwood, he married Joyce A. Roub who survives along with six children Peggy S. O’Roark of Talbot, TN., Jeff S. (Beth) Lovell of Chambersburg, Kathy A. (Jim) Palmer of Coalport, Roger D. (Beth) Lovell of Van Ormer, Wes E. Lovell of Allemans and John M. (Lori) Lovell of Belton, TX. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother Vonn.
Nelson was a 1957 graduate of MVHS-Madera and was a self-employed third generation carpenter all his life with a fourth generation son in the same business. He also was a bartender and school bus driver for a number of years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed making knives out of old blades with deer antlers for the handles. Nelson also made arrowheads out of flint for necklaces.
As per Nelson’s request, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
