Mr. Weston, 96, Hollentown, died Friday, September 24, 2010 at ARHS-Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born December 19, 1913 in Hollentown, a son of the late Homer E. and Lenora M. (Hollen) Weston and on June 13, 1940, in Blandburg, married Lucille S. Troxell who died August 17, 2000. Surviving is a son Hal M. (Sue Sinicki) of Hollentown, 3 grandchildren Terry Wills, Tammy Dongell and Anthony Weston, 5 greatgrandchildren Katelyn, Christopher and Megan Wills and Chad and Mikayla Dongell. Also surviving is a sister Marjorie Grove of Tyrone. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Judy Wills and 3 sisters Mildred Frye, Zelda Burkholder and Pearl Adam.
He was a 1930 graduate of Reade Twp. High School. He was a foreman at Cambria Mills Coal Co. before he founded and operated Weston’s Nursery and Christmas trees. He also sold mutual funds and was a member of the Coalport Masonic Lodge and the Jaffa Shrine.
Friends will be received Monday 4-8 pm and Tuesday 10-11 am at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am with Pastor Charles Yingling officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow
