Mrs. Troxell, 79, Blandburg, died Friday, April 22, 2011, at ARHS-Altoona Hospital campus. Born November 4, 1931, in Bellwood, a daughter of the late William and Beatrice (O’Shell) Campbell. On July 1, 1950, in Winchester, VA. she married Donald L. Troxell who died September 14, 1988. Surviving are 3 children Dee A. (J. Paul) Gunia of Bellwood, Donald L., Jr. (Michelle Cushion) of Hollentown and Daniel N. (Dorenda Reffner) of Shamokin, a son-in-law Mike Ponish of Irvona, 9 grandchildren John and Kellie Gunia, Mike, Jr. and Steve Ponish, Steph Shaw, Tammy Hughes, Dana Spangle and Kelsey Troxell and Justin Troxell, 10 greatgrandchildren and 2 greatgreatgrandchildren. Also surviving are 3 sisters Myrtle (Joe) Harpster of Tipton, Betty (Richard) Snyder and Delores (Don) Blake both of Bellwood. Also preceded in death by daughter Debbie J. Ponish on December 2, 2010, 2 infant greatgranddaughters Kassidy and Kaela Shaw and 3 brothers Raymond, Fredrick and Ellis.
She was a member of the Blandburg United Methodist Church and had been employed in numerous jobs including various garment factories and as a lookout at Lost Mountain fire tower.
Friends will be received Monday 6-8 pm and Tuesday 10 am until the hour of services of 11 am at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow with Pastor Barry Weyant officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
