Mary Catherine (Vail) Kough

     Mrs. Kough, 69, of Fallentimber, died Friday, September 20, 2024 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.  She was born August 4, 1955, in New Brunswick, NJ., a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Patricia M. (Dubois) Vail.  On September 26, 1998, in Point Pleasant, NJ., she married Walter Thomas Kough who survives.   Also surviving are a brother Thomas Mark (Leslie) Vail of Tom’s River, NJ. and their four children Chelsea, Connor, Cole and Courtney, a sister Peggy A. Vail and her husband Melvin Estrella of New York, NY., her other siblings Robert Johnson of South Brunswick, NJ., Sharon McCutcheon of Freehold, NJ. and Patricia Knorr of Wake Forest, NC.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her birth mother Freda Johnson.

     Mary was a 1973 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s High School in Plainfield, NJ. and had been employed as a personal caregiver for Home Instead, Altoona.  She enjoyed going on cruises with her husband or her close friend Katie Klinger.

     There will be no viewing.  Celebration of Life services will be announced at a later date.  Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
