Lorraine M. (Franks) Forbes

     Mrs. Forbes, 91, Coalport, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her residence.  She was born June 8, 1925 in Blandburg a daughter of the late Bruno L. and Lois F. (Miller) Franks and on August 3,  1946, in Arlington, VA she married William J. Forbes who died January 18, 1976.  Surviving are three children Gary L. Forbes and Diane M. Forbes, both of Hampton, VA. and Donna M. Spaid with whom she lived.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one sister Joan M. Ochranek of Altoona.  Lorraine was also preceded in death by a son Billy, three brothers Lee, Lawrence and Tom and one sister Maxine Burns.
     She was a 1944 graduate of Reade Twp. High School and a retired office worker in the United States Pentagon.  Lorraine was of the Catholic faith.
     Friends will be received Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 4-8 pm at the McQuown Funeral Home Glasgow, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am with Fr. Robert Reese officiating.  Interment will be in Hampton Veterans Memorial Garden, Hampton, VA.
