Mr. Beals, 65, Fallentimber, died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 16, 1951 in Philipsburg a son of the late James E. and Faye L. (Meckley) Beals. On October 21, 1971, in Clymer, he married Joyce M. Huey who survives along with two children Leroy T. “Bud” (Nicol) Beals of Coalport and Rebecca J. (Chris) Beirlair of Smithmill, four grandchildren and four siblings Eleanor Huey of Sanborn, Dorothy Baum of Flinton and David Beals and Harold Beals, both of Fallentimber. He was also preceded in death by three brothers Richard, Bob and Clifford and two sisters Bessie Richards and Marcella.
Leroy was a 1970 graduate of Glendale High School. He retired in 2014 from PPG Industries in Tipton where he was employed as a Glass Tester. Prior to that he had been employed as a Bolt Maker at Penn Jacobson Fastener Corp., Altoona and as a Dragline Operator at Flango Bros. Coal Co., Houtzdale. He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Friends and family will be received 7-8 pm Friday, August 11, 2017 at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow. Memorial services will be held at 8:00 pm with Pastor Bill Davis officiating.
