Lena M. (Monsell) Tice

     Mrs. Tice, 82, a resident of Ridgeview Elder Care, Curwensville, and formerly of Fallentimber and Bellefonte, died Sunday June 25, 2006 at the home.  She was born May 30, 1924 in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Laura B. (Deitrich) Monsell.  On April 30, 1950, in Bellefonte, she married John R. Tice who survives along with 3 children: L. Susanne (Nevin) Shank of Port Matilda, Charles E. (Wanda) Tice of Bellefonte and Amy L. (Michael) Shawver of Howard, 8 grandchildren, 17 greatgrandchildren and these siblings: George Monsell and Jean Menold, both of Bellefonte, James Monsell of Corning, NY. And Thomas Monsell of Pleasant Gap.  Also preceded in death by 1 grandson Michael Shawver and 3 sisters, Helen, Katherine Bickel and Ruth Fulton.  
     She retired from housekeeping from PSU-State College and was a member of the Hollentown Assembly of God.  Friends received 6-8 pm Thursday at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow where funeral services will be held that evening at 7:30 pm with Rev. Dean Hinton officiating.
