Laverne Robert Lovell

     Mr. Lovell, 87, of Fallentimber, died Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at his residence.  He was born August 19, 1934, in Glasgow, an only child of the late Robert and Bessie L. (Glass) Lovell.  On August 17, 1968, in Houtzdale, he married Martha H. Flick who survives along with a son Donald A. (Barb) Skiver of Fallentimber, four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Angie Skiver.

     Laverne was a 1953 graduate of Reade Twp. High School.  He was employed at the former General Cigar Company, Philipsburg for 24 years and delivered the Altoona Mirror for 19 years.   He was a member of the Utahville United Methodist Church.

     A viewing will be held Monday, December 27, 2021 from 11:00 am until the hour of services at 2:00 pm at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow. Pastor Dean Dietrick will officiate.  Burial will be in Utahville Cemetery.
