Mr. Bollinger, 76, Deltona, FL. and formerly of Beaver Valley, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Shands Hospital, Gainesville, FL. He was born March 10, 1928 in Beaver Valley, a son of the late Earl R. and Ethel C. (O'Shell) Bollinger. On March 17, 1949, in Orangeburg, SC., he married Wanda M. Price who survives along with seven children Rodger E. (Debbie Kirby) Bollinger of Gettysburg, Kenneth W. (Patricia Kelly) Bollinger and Russell C. (Roseann Turek) Bollinger, both of Patton, Leroy A. (Ginny Zupich) Bollinger of Coalport, Waneta J. (Peter) Link of Colchester, CT., Brian R. (Janice Gabrielson) Bollinger of E. Berlin and Bonnie S. (Aaron) Keirn of Altoona, 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters Mabel Dotts of Glen Hope, Amy Kennedy of DeBary, FL. and Martha Hollen of Greenwood. He was also preceded in death by a brother Billy and a granddaughter.
Ken served as a Tech Sargent in the United States Army in World War II and the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, and held memberships in the American Chestnut Society, the Audubon Society, the Smithsonian Institute, the PA. Archeological Society, the Patton American Legion and the Beaver Valley United Methodist Church. He retired in 1986 after being employed by the PA Game Commission as a Foreman for 30 years.
Friends will be received at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, Monday March 14, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and from 11 am to the 1 pm services at the Beaver Valley Methodist Church. rev. Joe Short will officiate and burial will be in Beaver Valley Cemetery.
