Mr. Maiocco, 78, a resident of The Village at Morrison’s Cove, Martinsburg, and formerly of Blandburg, died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at the village. Born March 1, 1926 in Blandburg a son of the late Vincenzo and Maria Donata (DiSciullo) Maiocco and on November 10, 1951, in Blandburg, married Kathleen A. Franks who survives along with two sons Gregory J. (Nancy Civic) of Ebensburg and Michael J. (Cheri Pier) of Blandburg, 4 grandchildren: Melanie, Anthony, Megan and Joseph and 1 greatgrandson Nicholas. Also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Chester, James and Sabatino and 4 sisters: Lucy, Edith, Carmela and Mary.
He had served as a Corporal in the Army during WWII . He retired in 1988 after working 22 years as a line operator at PPG, Tipton. He was a member of the Tyrone American Legion and the Knights of Columbus #9622, Frugality.
He was a member of St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Frugality where Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 1100am with Fr. George Gulash officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow. Friends received at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, Wednesday 1-4 & 6-9 where a vigil service will be held in the afternoon.
