Mr. Lonesky, 75, a resident of Maple Winds Nursing Home, Portage, and formerly of Blandburg, died at 10:35 am Sunday July 3, 2005 at the Home.
He was born in Blandurg on July 29, 1929 a son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Zayoc) Lonesky. Surviving are13 siblings: Katherine Brunner, Bellwood; John, Glasgow; Michael and James, Blandburg; Rose Downey, Bristol; Frank, Roanoke Rapids, NC.; Helen Downey, Jackson, OH.; Stella Wood, Mary Pfahler and John Downey, Altoona; Nicholas, Sellersville; Christinia Lyon, Frederick, MD.; and Charles, Glen Hope. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters Tressia and Anna Jena and a brother Walter.
Joseph had attended the School for the Deaf, Wilkinsburg and retired in 1988 as a Sanitation Worker for the city of Green Belt, MD..
He was a Catholic by faith. Visitation will be from 9-10 am Thursday FOR FAMILY ONLY followed by funeral services for family only at the McQuown Funeral Home with Fr. George Gulash officiating. Interment of cremains in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family suggests any memorial contributions be made to Ebensburg Hospice.
