Mr. Krepps, 47, of Lyleville, died unexpectedly in the UPMC-Altoona emergency department following an apparent heart attack. He was born March 31, 1972 in Altoona, a son of Susan L. (Fiedor) Krepps and the late James G. Krepps, Sr. Surviving are his mother of Mountaindale, two sons Zachary G. Krepps (companion Paige Kinslow) of Utahville and Kyle J. Krepps at home, Jonathan’s fiancé Lorie Civiello of Lyleville and her children Amanda (Daniel) Hutchinson of Altoona and Travis Civiello and his grandson, Cole Civiello of Lyleville and three siblings James G. (Stacey Muse) Krepps, Jr. of Bellwood, Justin G. (Paula Krause) Krepps of Mountaindale, and Jodi G. (Charles) Chilcote of Hollentown. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles, eleven nieces and nephews, a great-nephew and two great-nieces all of whom he adored. Jonathan was excitedly anticipating the birth of his grandson, Warren Glenn, son of Zachary and Paige.
Jonathan was a proud man, loved all his family endlessly and idolized his sons. He was an avid racecar fan….spending time in Eldora, his favorite racing place. He enjoyed hunting, camping, campfires and taking trips to the Dominican Republic. Jonathan was always outgoing, loved life and was a true friend to so many. He also enjoyed his dog, Smoke.
He was a 1990 graduate of Glendale High School and worked at Albemarle Corporation, Tyrone for 27 years as a Chemical Technician 5. He attended Mountaindale Baptist Church where funeral services will be held Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Friends will be received Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow and then again from 1:00 pm until the hour of services at the church. Pastor Ben Warfel will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mountaindale Baptist Church, Mountaindale PA or the A Darrah Bull Bully Rescue, Roaring Springs, PA.
