Mr. Jena, 76, Fallentimber, died Friday, December 9, 2016 at his residence. Born January 30, 1940 in Glasgow a son of the late Joseph C. and Anna R. (Lonesky) Jena. On May 24, 1958, in Houtzdale, he married Anna Marie Smolko who survives along with two children Maryann Jena, at home and John C. (Corey Thigpen) Jena, Jr. of West Point, VA. Also surviving are two grandchildren Barbara (Dave) Johns and John F. Jena, two great-granddaughters Lindsay Webster and Lexy Johns and two siblings Anna Jena of Blandburg and Mary Komlenic of Coulters. He was also preceded in death by a brother Paul.
John retired in 2001 after being employed for 28 years as a roof bolter for Tanoma Mining Company, Marion Center. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and making wine.
It was John’s wishes that there be no visitation or services. Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
