John D. Warsek
Mr. Warsek, 73, of Georgetown, TX. and formerly of Glasgow, died Friday, July 23, 2021 in Georgetown. He was born July 15, 1948, in Altoona, a son of the late John and Wilma L. (Rhodes) Warsek. He is survived by three siblings Ronald A. Warsek of Glasgow, Nancy L. Nash of Bellwood and Debra J. Queen of Irvona, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister Cindy.
Known as Pumper, he had been employed as a Pressman/Crusherman at the former TYK Refactory in Irvona. John served as a Private First Class in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and had been a member of the Coalport VFW Post #7043.
It was Pumper’s wishes to be cremated with no viewing or services. His cremains will be buried on the family lot in Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton. Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow. Please make any memorial donations payable to the funeral home to aid in paying cremation expenses.
