Jean Ann (Bender) Johnson

     Mrs. Johnson, 72, St. Lawrence Road, Patton, died Thursday evening, June 2, 2005 at the Altoona Hospital.  She was born November 20, 1932 in Patton, a daughter of the late John J. and Ruth L. “Dolly” (McMurray) Bender.  On July 7, 1951 in Patton she married Dennis H. Johnson who died May 24, 1992.  Surviving are 4 children: Johnny P. (Danna DeGruttola),  Cynthia A. Stratton (Glenn), Jeffrey A., all of Patton and Patrick H. (Betty Pickeral) of Coalport, 11 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren, 3 sisters: Mary R. Baranick (Richard) of Circleville, OH., Elizabeth L. “Betty” Naylor (Roger) of Salina, KS., Kathryn D. Eggert (Leonard, Jr.) of Cleveland, OH. and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also preceded in death by a son Robert D.  She was a graduate of Patton High School and retired in 1993 as a supervisor at the Ebensburg Center.  She was an avid bowler and bingo player and was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.  Requiem Mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Lazaurus Catholic Church, St. Lawrence with Most Father Theodore Rematt officiating.  Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.  Friends received at the church Wednesday from 10:00 am until the hour of services.  Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
