James Russell Wilson, Jr.

Mr. Wilson, 73, of Flinton, died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at his residence following apparent cardiac issues.   He was born February 14, 1951, in Altoona, a son of the late James R. and Betty J. (Montgomery) Wilson, Sr.  On May 16, 1992, in Tipton, he married Brenda L. Betke who survives along with a daughter Brooke L. Abrell of Portage.  Also surviving are two brothers Robert Wilson of Tyrone and William Wilson of Washington, PA., a sister Beverly Wilson of Coos Bay, OR., a brother-in-law Don Betke, Jr. of Tyrone, a sister-in-law Linda Silva of Columbus, OH. and several nieces and nephews.

     Jim was a 1969 graduate of Bellwood High School and was a truck driver for WalMart Distribution Center, Woodland.  He was a member of the Patton Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting and fishing.

     Abiding by Jim’s wishes, there will no visitation or services.  Arrangements by the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
