James Leroy Stanton

     Mr. Stanton, 82, of Coalport, formerly of Blandburg died Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona.   He was born April 5, 1940, in Blandburg, a son of the late Ella Stanton.  Surviving are four children Edward E. (Annette) Stanton of Coalport, Karen L. Stanton and Kitty J. Johnson, both of State College and Christine M. Stanton of LaPointe, WI., 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a brother Richard Stanton of Altoona.  He was preceded in death by his mother, a son Billy and a grandson Dusten Demko.

     Jim was a graduate of Reade Twp, High School and was owner/operator of Stanton Trucking, Blandburg from which he ran a residential garbage pickup route in the Reade Twp. Area.  He also held a pilot’s license for small airplanes.

     Abiding by his wishes, there will be no viewing or services.  Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.  Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
