Mr. Mulhollen, 88, Hegarty’s Crossroads, Coalport, RD., died Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona. He was born May 10, 1935, in Fallentimber, a son of the late Glenn W. and Irene T. (Hamilton) Mulhollen. On February 1, 1962, in Long Beach, CA., he married Marjorie C. McCarty who survives along with five children: Don C. Kruis and Donna “Sis” Harpster, both of Roseland, Troy K. Mulhollen of Quinton, VA., Hazel A. Graham and Maria K. Douglas, both of Houtzdale, numerous grand and great-grandchildren and six siblings: Don G. Mulhollen of Tallmadge, OH., Patsy J. Gorman of Tyrone, Gerald H. Mulhollen of Van Ormer, Merle M. Mulhollen of Newton Falls, OH., Irene E. Downs of Fallentimber and Virginia A. Yeagle of Manheim. Jim was also preceded in death by a son Michael L. Mulhollen, a son-in-law Ian Douglas and two brothers Bob R. Mulhollen and Glenn W. Mulhollen, Jr.
Jim served as a Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a life member of the Richard L. Beers VFW Post #7043 in Coalport. He had been a self-employed over-the -road truckdriver and logger and had also driven truck and was a coal miner for Bethlehem Steel.
Abiding with Jim’s wishes, there will be no visitation or immediate services. The McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, is in charge of arrangements.
