Mr. Morrow, 96, a resident of Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, formerly of Glasgow, passed away March 2, 2025 at the center. He was born on July 1, 1928 in Glasgow, a son of the late Lloyd and Naomi (Cree) Morrow.
He was born fifth out of six kids and was preceded in death by all of his siblings. He had four older sisters: Marie Benn, Alverta Lovell, Olive Carlson and Beatrice Myers who adored him and one younger brother George Morrow who he enjoyed hunting with until they could only reminisce of hunting.
Affectionately known as Speedy, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 71 years, Betty (Fonner) Morrow who he married in Coalport on September 2, 1949. She died October 30, 2020. He was also preceded in death by a son David Morrow. He is survived by a son, James Morrow; four grandchildren: John Morrow, Kevin Morrow, Heather Morrow, Craig Morrow; and four great grandchildren.
Everett made it to the 9th Grade at Reade Township High School. He never shied away from hard work and he retired from Hommer Lumber Company, Glasgow, where he worked as a carpenter and millwright for most of his adult life.
Everett’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife, Betty, and spending time outside in his garden. He also enjoyed projects around the house and keeping up with fixing his house. Everett was a long-time member of the former Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Glasgow, PA. and had attended the Fiske Community Bible Church.
Friends will be received from 1:00 pm until the hour of services at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 8th, 2025 at McQuown Funeral Home in Glasgow, PA. with Pastor Dean Dietrick officiating. Burial beside his wife in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
