Mr. Curry, 68, of Harvest, Alabama, and formerly of Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama following a short-term illness.
He was born February 1, 1952, in Glasgow, a son of the late Guy E. and Ellen G. (Rickard) Curry.
Jim graduated from Glendale Jr.-Sr. High School in 1970 and Pittsburgh Computer School. He traveled a lot and lived in many cities. He lived most of his life in Westerville, Ohio, Madison and Harvest, Alabama. Home was always Glasgow, PA.
James worked in sales for Re-Bath in Birmingham, Alabama and recently worked at Marco’s Pizza in Madison, Alabama.
Surviving are his siter Brenda M. Hobbs, formerly of Rising Star, Texas, but now living in Johnstown, PA., a very special step-granddaughter that he adored Alyssa (Lyssie) Vanbuskirk and her two children in Westerville, Ohio, many nieces and nephews, his friend Danny and wife Madge that became very close friends at CrossPoint Church in Madison, and his roommate brothers C.A. Anderson and Patrick Coor…his best friends who became loving caregivers. James will also be missed by his dog Princess, his loving friend and companion.
There was no visitation or services. Private interment in Allemansville Cemetery, Allemans, PA. The McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, PA. assisted the family locally.
