Mrs. Barnhart, 80, Beaver Valley, peacefully went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 29, 2011 at her residence. She was born September 3, 1930 in Beaver Valley, a daughter of the late Godfrey H. and Gemain M. (Noel) Potter and on March 6, 1956, in Winchester, VA., married Robert N. Barnhart who died September 23, 2010. Surviving are 2 children Wesley R. of Altoona and Simone P. (Jerry) Markel at home, 4 grandchildren Lane Burk, Brooke Barnhart and Mya and Medina Markel, and 3 siblings: Erdean T. Krise of Loretto, Harold J. of Warren, MI., and Verna M. (Jim) Krise of Fiske. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law Monica M. Barnhart of Altoona.
Helen loved to keep up on current events, watching news programs, tackling crossword puzzles, dining out, shopping, traveling, working in her flower gardens and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church, Beaver Valley.
Friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 7-9 and Saturday 11:00-noon at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow where funeral services will be held Saturday at noon with Pastor Warren Yeager officiating. Interment in Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton.
