Mr. Bouch, 92, Blandburg, died Monday, May 31, 2021, at UPMC-Altoona. He was born August 22, 1928, in Blandburg, a son of the late Thomas A. and Eleanor E. (Wolfe) Bouch. He married Helen M. Harpster on April 2, 1952 in Winchester, VA. She died October 12, 2006. George was also preceded in death by two infant sons James and Raymond, six brothers Robert, Norris, William, Eugene, Thomas and Ronald and six sisters Dora Potter, Mary Harcleroad, Catherine Vaughn, Mae Gill, Bertha Simmons and Ida Surgeon.. Surviving are two children Georgetta M. (George) McElheny of Glasgow and David B. Bouch of Blandburg.
Known as Pap, he served his country during the Korean War as a Corporal in the Army. He worked for 20 years as a firetender/riveter for P.R.R.-Altoona and then as a truck driver for Clearfield Cheese in Curwensville for 18 years. He had attended the Hollentown Assembly of God and was a life member of the Coalport VFW.
Viewing will be held at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 11:00 am until the hour of services at 1:00 pm. Pastor Joe Hollen will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow. Military honors will be held at the funeral home.
