Gary J. Witherow, Sr.

     Mr. Witherow, 51, Blandburg, died Thursday, November 21, 2019 at his residence following a lengthy battle with cancer.  Born October 7, 1968 in Altoona a son of Robert E. Sprankle, deceased, and Sherry E. (Salsgiver) Sprankle of Blandburg.  On October 17, 1992, in Glasgow, he married Judith L. Nelson who survives along with five children Elizabeth M. (Tony) Karpinski of Altoona, Gary J. (Eliza Ginter) Witherow, Jr. of Dyess Air Force Base, TX., Brittney E. Witherow of Andrews Air Force Base, DC., Amanda L. Witherow and Victoria R. Witherow, both at home, two grandchildren Scarlett Witherow and Paxton Karpinski and two brothers Gordon Witherow of Altoona and Randy Yon of Tyrone.

     Gary was a 1986 graduate of Glendale High School and served during the Persian Gulf War in the United State Army as a Sargent. He was a member of the Rock of Freedom Fellowship, Coalport and was employed at New Pig Corporation, Tipton as a Production Manager.

     Friends will be received Wednesday November 27, 2019 at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow from 10 am until the noon funeral services with Pastor Bob Queen officiating.  Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.  Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Coalport VFW.
