Mr. Hollen, 46, Van Ormer, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 12, 2005 at his residence from a heart attack. He was born May 22, 1958 in Johnstown, a son of Milford P. and Mary E. (Beers) Hollen of Van Ormer who survive along with 3 siblings Bonnie J. Hollen of Hollentown, Karen S. (Richard T.) Fortney and David C., both of Van Ormer. Also surviving is his paternal grandfather Preston Hollen of Altoona, 3 nieces and a nephew.
A 1976 graduate of Glendale High School, he graduated from DuBois Trade School, had worked for both the Blandburg and Irvona Water companies and was presently employed at the CoGen plant in Ebensburg. He was on the staff of Creation at the Agape Farm and was a ham radio operator. He was a member of the Hollentown Assembly of God where funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Hammerle officiating. Interment will be in Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton. Friends will be received at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow 2-4 & 7-9 pm Sunday and at the church Monday 1:00 until the hour of services.
