Eugene C. Jenkins, Sr.

     Mr. Jenkins, 73, Bellwood, died Friday, July 1, 2011 at ARHS-Altoona Hospital.  Born November 6, 1937 in Fallentimber a son of the late John S. and Hazle I. (Kough) Jenkins.  On October 15, 1966 in Blandburg he married Donna L. Schroth who survives along with 7 children: Mary Churner of Irvona, Jeannie Williams of Clearfield, Lisa Seprish of Snow Shoe, Pete of Mountaindale, Tina Plummer of Bellwood, Eugene, Jr. of Blandburg and Jason at home, 20 grandchildren, numerous greatgrandchildren and 4 siblings Phyllis Hockenberry of Hollentown, Sharon Killen of Cresson, John, Jr. of Hollentown and Phillip of Altoona.

     He was a member of the UMWA #1368 having worked in several deep mines.  He was also a graduate of Reade Twp High School Class of 1955 and had attended Roseland Christian Fellowship Church.  Friends will be received Tuesday 6-8 pm followed by an 8:00 pm funeral service at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow with Pastor Jon Hommer officiating.
