Elizabeth A. (Spanik) Gwinn

     Elizabeth A. (Betty) Gwinn, 81, Blandburg, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at her residence.  She was born May 29, 1939, in Blandburg, a daughter of the late Rudolf S. and Margaret R. (Firment) Spanik.  On July 27, 1957, in Winchester, VA., she married R. Lee Gwinn who died December 15, 2009.  She is survived by three children Robert L. (Becky Lloyd) Gwinn of Tyrone, Leanne M. Jenkins of Mountaindale and Susan E. Correll of Gettysburg, six grandchildren Krystle (Tom) Parshall, Gabriel Fowler, Jimi Gwinn, Dylan (Krystal) Gwinn, Caleb Gwinn and Lucas Correll, ten great-grandchildren Keegan, Carter, Sammy, Ava, Gracie, Chase, Brooklyn and Cohen Gwinn, and Hayden and Landon Parshall and two siblings Mary L. Pier and Anthony R. Spanik, both of Blandburg.  Also surviving are sons-in-law Pete Jenkins and Craig Correll.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son James, an infant son Joseph, two grandsons Thomas C. Gwinn-Fowler and Bobby Gwinn, a brother Matthew and a sister Mary Rita.

      She was a 1957 graduate of Reade Twp. High School and been employed as a payroll secretary at Giorgi Mushroom Co, Temple, PA., retiring in 2001.

     Betty was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Frugality where a Memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family.  In accordance with her wishes, there will be no viewing.  Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.  Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
