Mrs. Baker, 76, Flinton, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Altoona Hospital. She was born October 13, 1930, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late James and Magdalene (Capitos) Reiter. On January 29, 1949, in Frugality, she married Martin L. Baker who died December 20, 1985. Surviving are three sons Martin L. Baker, James A. Baker and David L. (Zina Scott) Baker, all of Flinton. Also surviving are three grandsons and four siblings Chick Reiter of Fredricksburg, MD., Virginia Miller and James R. Reiter, both of Hagerstown, MD. and Louise Kirby of Martinsburg, WV., and an aunt Teresa Labonoski of Coalport. She was also preceded in death by an infant.
Betty was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Frugality.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, with Fr. George Gulash officiating. Burial will be in Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton. Friends received at the funeral Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
