Doris A. (Bennett) McClellan

     Mrs. McClellan, 91, a resident of Hollidaysburg Veterans’ Home and formerly of Glasgow, died Friday, December 27, 2019 at the home.  She was born September 19, 1928 in Utahville, a daughter of the late George L. and Verna S. (Poshedly) Bennett.  On March 17, 1948, in Bellwood, she married Ardell McClellan who died January 7, 1994.  Surviving are two children: Barry W. McClellan, both of Blandburg and Kim I. Peacock of New Bern, NC., eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by a son John, a sister Margaret Sellards and two brothers Albert and Robert.

     Doris had been employed as a cook at the Glendale School District, was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Glasgow and was a former member of the former Mt. Pleasant Grange, Utahville.

     In accordance with Doris’ wishes there will be no visitation or services.  Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
