Donna Jane (Kibler) Gates

Mrs. Gates, 94, of Altoona, died Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Cedarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Tyrone.  She was born December 1, 1931 in Blain City, daughter of the late Lambert and Lillian (Wilkinson) Kibler. She married Mahlon S. Gates on August 29, 1957, in Winchester, VA. Mahlon died June 24, 1993. She was also preceded in death by a grandson AJ.  

    Surviving are two sons Mark S. Gates and his wife Kathi of Fallentimber and Andrew S. Gates and his wife Christine of Winchester, VA., two granddaughters Michele Gates and Cassidy (Joe) Curry and one great-grandson Aiden Rydbom.

     Donna was a 1949 graduate of Beccaria Twp. High School and a 1950 graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce.  She retired December 31, 1996 as a banking secretary for M&T Bank.

     At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or visitation.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
