Mr. Ammerman, 52, Blandburg, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at UPMC-Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. He was born July 15, 1968 in Altoona, a son of Denver R. and Joyce E. (Frye) Ammerman, Jr. On November 3, 2001, in Hollentown, he married Susan R. Carns who survives along with eight children: Jarrett M. (Amanda) Ammerman of State College, Aubrey E. (Brad) Baker of Northern Cambria, Patrick R. Brown of Blandburg and Dylan J., Kelsey S., Tanner E., Hunter L. and Delaney R., all at home, one grandson Roman, his parents of Van Ormer, a brother Shawn W. (Ocean) Ammerman of Fallentimber, mother-in-law Anna Mae Michaels of Clearfield and brother and sister-in-laws Jack (Cindy) Carns of Coalport, Bob (Patty) Carns of Fallentimber, Paul (Rawlyn) Michaels of Wilkes-Barre, Barb (James) Mangler in Georgia, Amy Carns of Lancaster and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents and his father-in-law Jack Carns, Sr.
Denny was a 1986 graduate of Glendale High School and had been employed as a rail car inspector for Millennium Rail of Hollidaysburg. Being involved in his children’s activities, along with his wife Suzie, were his world.
He was a member of Hollentown Assembly of God where funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, March 15, 2021, with Pastor Joe Hollen officiating. Friends and family will be received at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and again Monday at the church from 10:00 am until the funeral services. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
