Mr. Garman, 69, Glasgow, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at his home from natural causes
He was born May 24, 1936, in Blandburg, a son of the late Willis L. and Florence M. (Chilcoat) Garman. He was a 1955 graduate of Bellwood School District. Mr. Garman retired from the Maintenance Department of PPG Industries-Works 27 in Tipton after 27 years of service. He was Protestant by faith.
He is survived by his wife, the former Nina B. Bowman, whom he wed at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Glasgow. Also surviving, one sister-Shirley Barefoot of Imler. Children-Patti Lesser and her husband, Michael, of Philipsburg, Dean Jr. and his wife, Robin (Laing) of Coalport, Daniel and his wife Jodi (Gondek) of Flinton, Betsy Walstrom and her husband Gary of Glasgow and Jaymee Miller and her husband Larrie of Lititz. Grandchildren-Erin Lesser, Danielle Garman Kauffman, Nathan Garman, Gary Walstrom, Jr., Jessica Garman and Devon Miller. Also several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Tyrone Hospital Development Council-One Hospital Drive, Tyrone, PA. 16686.
The McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, is in charge of arrangements.
